Collaborating with Local Organizations for Greater Impact
Association Partners
Community Heartbeat Foundation
Director: Mario Caggiano
Community Heartbeat Foundation is a New York-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting victims of domestic violence. Through our partnership, we organize coat drives and school supply collections to help families in need rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Gayridge
Gayridge is a community organization celebrating and supporting LGBTQ+ life in Bay Ridge and surrounding Brooklyn neighborhoods. In November 2025, we partnered with Gayridge to host the South Boo-klyn Ball, a festive celebration bringing together neighbors for an evening of fun, music, and community connection.
NYC Parks
Through the NYC Parks Super Steward Program, we participate in Street Tree Care Days as part of the TreesLC initiative. Our volunteers learn proper tree care techniques and help maintain the urban forest that keeps our neighborhoods green, healthy, and resilient.
Friends of the Lott House
We partner with Friends of the Lott House to support cleanups at the historic Hendrick I. Lott House in Marine Park. In August 2025, we hosted an outdoor movie night at the Lott House, bringing neighbors together for a memorable evening under the stars at one of Brooklyn's oldest landmarks.
Salt Marsh Alliance
The Salt Marsh Alliance is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and showcasing the natural environment of Marine Park through its Salt Marsh Nature Center. We partner with them on environmental education, nature walks, and conservation efforts that connect neighbors to the local flora and fauna in their own backyard.
Marine Park Alliance
The Marine Park Alliance assists NYC Parks in providing cultural, environmental, and volunteer programming in Marine Park for the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. We partner with them on volunteer service — from shoreline cleanups to native plantings — and on the community programming that brings our neighborhood together.

Climate Cafe NYC
Chapter since: September 2025
Climate Cafe South Brooklyn is an official chapter of Climate Cafe NYC, part of a global network of community spaces where people gather to share thoughts and feelings about climate change in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.
Edinburgh Climate Coalition
International Partner
We meet with the Edinburgh Climate Coalition every few months to share work and ideas across the Atlantic. This transatlantic partnership allows us to exchange perspectives, learn from each other's approaches to climate engagement, and build solidarity between our communities.
Force of Nature
Official Hub since: March 2026
Climate Cafe South Brooklyn is an official Climate Cafe hub through Force of Nature, a global organization empowering young people to turn climate anxiety into action. We received a micro-grant to help fund beverages and supplies for our climate cafe gatherings.
