The Marine Park Young Adults Association is a grassroots organization led entirely by young adults, creating social opportunities for people ages 18–35 to connect, collaborate, and give back to southern Brooklyn. From trivia and game nights to neighborhood cleanups, street tree care days, and outdoor movie nights at the historic Hendrick I. Lott House, our programs are open to the community and most are free or low-cost. What began in 2024 as a small group of neighbors looking to meet one another has grown into an organization that welcomes people of all ages.

We receive no government funding. Every event and program is made possible by donors like you, and your contribution goes directly to venue rentals, supplies, refreshments, promotional materials, and equipment. We have no paid staff and no overhead, so every dollar goes straight back into the programming itself.

Even a small gift makes a visible difference. It can cover the grabbers and bags for a neighborhood cleanup, refreshments for a game night, or the room where a few dozen neighbors meet each other for the first time.

The Marine Park Young Adults Association is a social welfare organization, incorporated in the State of New York as the Marine Park Young Adults Association Inc., exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, and classified under NTEE code S80: Community Service Clubs.

Because we are a 501(c)(4) rather than a 501(c)(3) charity, contributions to MPYAA are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Gifts may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense in limited circumstances; please consult your own tax advisor about your particular situation.
