Our Mission — Marine Park Young Adults Association

The Marine Park Young Adults Association is a grassroots, community-based social welfare organization based in southern Brooklyn. Founded by Sam Daniele, our mission is to strengthen community connections, promote civic engagement, and foster environmental awareness through inclusive programming, volunteerism, and cultural events.

At our core, we believe in building a more connected, compassionate, and climate-conscious community. While our roots lie in serving young adults aged 18–35, our programs have grown to include individuals of all ages and backgrounds who share a passion for making a difference in the neighborhoods we call home.

Our work is deeply rooted in the belief that lasting change begins at the community level, through real conversations, inclusive cultural experiences, and hands-on service. Whether we're hosting a neighborhood trivia night, facilitating a Climate Café discussion, or planting trees in a local park, everything we do is driven by a commitment to civic engagement, environmental awareness, and community well-being.

Environmental Awareness & Action

We are committed to promoting environmental education, sustainability, and climate resilience in southern Brooklyn. Through partnerships with local organizations and initiatives like Climate Cafe South Brooklyn NYC, we create spaces for meaningful climate conversations and action.

Community Engagement

From game nights and movie screenings to speaker forums and concerts, we host a wide range of public events that are fun, inclusive, and accessible to all. These events are designed to foster deeper connections among neighbors and encourage civic participation.

Volunteerism & Service

We believe in the power of hands-on service. Our volunteers support local causes through neighborhood cleanups, tree care projects, and clothing and school supply drives benefiting individuals in transitional or undisclosed housing.

Climate Cafe South Brooklyn

Climate Café South Brooklyn is a welcoming, all-ages initiative that creates space for open, supportive conversations about climate change and its personal and local impacts.
